20 Inch Variable Speed Shutter Fan With or Without Cord 1/3 HP
This energy efficient shutter fan has a 1/3 hp motor and gives you 3126 cfm. It is fully assembled right out of the box so it is very easy to install. The high efficiency aluminum shutters have a tie bar so that the shutter isn't flapping and opening on windy days.
This fan can be used with variable speed controller which you can see below. We also sell an optional weather hood to protect your shutter fan from wind and rain. The motor is totally enclosed which means it is maintenance free.

Question: Do you have to purchase the Varible speed control for this fan to work? And what is the purpose of the speed control?
Answer: A variable speed controller is not required to operate the Shutter Fan. You would purchase the Variable Speed Controller
if you want to control the speed of the fan.
Question: How far does the shutter protrude from the mounting flange?
Answer: 2 inched when closed and 4.375 inches when open.
